The War of Emperium (WoE) is a game feature that allows guilds to fight in order to conquer a castle, which becomes the victorious guild’s headquarters. Winning the WoE has special benefits and advantages.
We’ll be imposing rules to keep our sieges fair and enjoyable.
Punishment for Violators:
Cheating is an act of dishonesty performed through actions that are otherwise not usual or intended—gaining unfair advantage over others.
Bug exploitation happens when a player finds a loophole and intentionally reproduces it to gain an advantage. It’s a bug when the game behavior is different from what it should be. In the event that you acquire an unexpected amount of zeny, items, and/or experience, you must immediately report it. If the bug is high risk and requires immediate action, kindly contact Lynx. When the bug is confirmed, we’ll do our best to resolve and prevent further damage. However, if players have already abused and benefited from exploiting a bug, proper actions may be required to protect the server. In cases of urgent bugs, we may temporarily or permanently suspend affected accounts.
Botting happens when a player is not controlling the in-game character in real-time, but the character is still actively playing in-game. It’s not only limited to a third-party program or packet editors. It also refers to actions that exhibit performance impossible to accomplish if the operator is not signaling or paying attention to the character.
Your character and account are accountable regardless if someone else used your account or not, and this includes unauthorized logins. Some botting examples include (but are not limited to) AutoHotKey or a similar macro-script creation program, mouse click repeater, placing a macro on your keyboard and/or mouse to repeat keystrokes and clicks, network packet modifications to resend packets, or recording packets to replay actions.
There’s a fine line between botting and playing. In general, players are worried about becoming a victim of the botting violation. As long as you quickly respond when asked by a player or staff, you should be okay. It’s also allowed to be non-responsive when you’re online, as long as your character is idle.
If a player is reported botting, a game master will check the legitimacy of the report before applying any sanction. Methods of verifying a report’s legitimacy won’t be disclosed to prevent aspiring botters from evading the rules.
Game hacking is equivalent to penetrating our services and performing unauthorized actions with the intention of disrupting the game. We take all hacking activity seriously, and you should not perform or even attempt this. Hackers will be permanently suspended from the game and will be prevented from accessing it.
Donation fraud happens when a player recharges RoK Points through Credit Card or PayPal; and once the rewards are already credited to the account, they immediately issue a chargeback to refund their money and receive the donation rewards at the same time. Violators will be permanently suspended from the game and will be prevented from accessing it. Their IGNs and involved e-mail addresses will be disclosed to the public, for everyone’s safety.
We never tolerate harassment in any form. Harassment is making one or more players uncomfortable, contrary to our aim to make players feel safe and peaceful when playing SolaceRO. Harassment isn’t limited to chatting. It’s also applicable to voice chat in Discord, in-game, megaphone, social media, and others. Players, for their good, are encouraged to ignore or block people who are trying harass them. We’ll take appropriate actions against erring players if harassment is already excessive. Player-instigated harassment, such guild to guild and PVP drama that started from two parties harassing each other, will be ignored.
Griefing is causing inconveniences and anger to fellow players in the community through various ways, such as killing monsters in a map to prevent someone from finishing a monster quest or party quest, stacking on the same cell to cover someone else’s selling or buying store, or trolling them in Discord. Killing players without their consent in PVP Rooms and PK Area aren’t considered griefing. Players must be civil at all times; they can be competitive and humorous, but not to the extent that they’re already ruining the fun for others. Players caught griefing will be suspended temporarily or permanently, depending on the level of offense.
Spamming in-game through a whisper, trade request, discord, and our social media platforms such as Facebook, or any other officially sponsored sites by SolaceRO, is prohibited. Players shouldn’t repeat the same message many times; there are game masters who are also moderating the community. However, we’re not online 24/7 to prevent spamming. Players should refrain from using letter-characters that break or cause malformation in any of our platforms. Players who try to disrupt our services, causing instability of the server, will be suspended temporarily or permanently, depending on the level of offense.
Threats made against anyone in the community are strictly prohibited. Threatening isn’t limited to swearing, insults, defamation, or slander. Players should also refrain from following or stalking other players outside the game, for instance, on Facebook. An example is creating fake accounts in-game, or on Discord and Facebook, to send threats to a player or a group. Anyone who will threaten a fellow player will be suspended temporarily or permanently if proven guilty.
Ragnarok Online is an old game, and it’s common knowledge that majority of us are now grown-ups. However, we have a diverse player base, with SolaceRO open to anyone with internet access. Some content can be sensitive to players. We don’t encourage or permit adult content. Any discussion or remarks about it must be avoided at all times. Adult content isn’t only limited to sex and nudity, gore and violence, illegal drugs, racial slurs, other people’s issues, or any content that may be prejudicial against certain players. Players who’ll try to start or engage in such topics can be immediately muted without warning if a moderator decides that a topic is too sensitive to some players.
Social engineering alone can be eventful in many aspects as they influence certain people. Players must be extremely cautious when it comes to “socializing”, or interacting with other players, and understand that some people may engineer their socializing to bend into your trust. Social engineering are constructed dialog and behavior between players or groups.
Players normally feel safe and comfortable when they are nearby or talking to staff or a close friend. However, there will be times when some players will pretend, or trick others to think that they’re one of the game masters or someone you’re close to. When an impersonator engages with a player, they’ll first use techniques to confuse the person, including faking or cleverly naming their character similar to a game master or a close friend to make players think that they’re really speaking or dealing with them. Some impersonators are very obvious, but some are very convincing. However, there are ways to verify their legitimacy. In SolaceRO, all staff have a prefix on their names, such as [Dev] or [CM], and a particular color in Discord. An impersonator relies on the element of surprise and false promises to successfully get their desired information. Always remember that CMs will never ask for your account and personal details because we can access our database in case we need those. Also, we’ll never host a secret event giving high-value rewards. Players are advised to be very vigilant and use their common sense at all times. If something is too good to be true, it’s probably fake, and you’ll most likely end up scammed. Players caught or reported to be impersonating a staff member or player known in iRO or any other server with malicious intent will be renamed or permanently suspended from the game and prevented from accessing the game.
Players may be asked to engage in risky transactions such as inter-server, account, or real money trading which can never be fail-safe. Those activities are illegal and come with large risks due to high profit for scammers. Players must avoid and never engage in such trading, and stick to SolaceRO’s official methods, like vending or trading in-game. Players should never share or lend their account, items, or any valuables. If you still trade or share and then suffer from any loss whether or not you’ve read the rules, SolaceRO isn’t responsible and liable. We’ll not entertain such reports, so please don’t bother writing a long message. Everyone should remember that even some of your oldest friends online or in real life can still change, as humans’ perspective evolve over time. What seems to be impossible now can be possible in the future, and what’s wrong today can someday be considered as acceptable by other people. So trust no one but yourself.
The role of social engineers can cause more damage even with simple actions like framing up and gossiping about players—spreading false information to create a distraction so that players will miss the real event. Please beware of this kind of player.
Personal trading is when one or more people give up their account details, which compromises account security. The activity isn’t prohibited. However, we don’t advise it. If you shared an account and was caught violating any of our policies, you’ll be held liable and responsible, and punishment will be applied to your account even if it’s not you. Players should understand that if they use another player’s account and have it banned, their main account will be banned, too, for he’s technically the person who did the violation. For your safety, never use other players’ accounts and never let others use your accounts as well. If they get banned, you’ll also be banned because once they enter your account, a single entity is created.
Account sharing happens when you either unauthorize or authorize someone else other than yourself to enter your accounts. Account sharing isn’t limited to sharing usernames/passwords. It applies to e-mails and any other personal details. Players should also note that it’s considered as account sharing if you allow someone else to play on your account even if they don’t know your username/password (you might’ve logged into your account before switching chairs with another person). All actions and executions on your account must be from and for yourself at all times.
Account trading is a very dangerous activity as players are placing their assets in great risk, hoping to have a successful deal. Most of the time, players are getting scammed. Even if you succeed, the original account owner has his ways to get it back. Furthermore, if you sell your account and it gets involved with violations, your other accounts are still liable for disciplinary actions.
Character trading is basically the same as account trading because they’re bound to one account forever (same rules apply for account trading). You cannot share, borrow, lend, pilot, tour, or do any form of trading with anyone. There’s no exception or special permits for character trading.
Real Money Trading (RMT)
Item, account, or service trading are prohibited, for they carry great risks to both parties. Players should know that most scammers rely on transactions that aren’t done in-game or in our marketplace because they cannot be traced, and can easily disappear if they wish. RMT is prohibited but we have no ways to find it and they’d always do it secretly. Most of the time, we’ll only know about it when someone was already scammed and the victim wants to avenge himself. To minimize the risk of players getting scammed, we’ll be automatically suspending accounts that advertise and promote RMT in-game, or in Discord, social media, and other platforms we support. SolaceRO staff aren’t liable for players who’ll be scammed, so please don’t expect any support given this warning.
Accident losses happen when a player loses valuable items by mistake. Ultimately, it’s still up to players to be attentive and vigilant. SolaceRO won’t refund, reverse, reimburse, credit, or replace these items.
When selling or buying with player vending, you must be cautious with the prices on the items. It’s a very common mistake for some players to accidentally miss a digit, making the item undervalued or overvalued. Some players may even place a vending that’s full of the same item; but with one of them having leading extra zero—making it seem almost as if you’re buying all of the items at the same price. The same can be said for sellers who are rushing to set up their vending with the same items, and there wasn’t enough zeroes—making it very cheap. It’s the player’s full responsibility to carefully inspect every item prior to selling or buying. SolaceRO won’t reverse actions, and will even disconnect your character if we spot an obvious mistake.
Sold Items (NPC)
Many players are expected to sell their loots to the Tool Dealer. However, there are times when the player is rushing and has accidentally sold a valuable item from his inventory. Players are encouraged to double-check the items before selling. Or please store valuables in the storage before selling your loots. It’s the player’s responsibility to carefully check the items being sold. SolaceRO won’t reverse such selling, and won’t return the items by spawning replacement.
These are violations that aren’t a threat to the server’s security, stability, and economy.
A temporary mute or ban may be given if the player isn’t cooperative or apologetic when a minor violation is committed. SolaceRO will point out the violations; and if players persistently continue the activity, we’re required to apply sanctions.
Second minor violations happen when a player knowingly commits prohibited activity despite a previous history of violation. SolaceRO staff are at their discretion to decide on appropriate actions, with the primary goal to rehabilitate the player into becoming a better person, including 1:1 support. Furthermore, a temporary account suspension may be required.
Frequent violations are subject to greater disciplinary actions, with a possibility of extended or permanent ban. SolaceRO will make a review to let the community understand the sanctions and rules that the player have violated. SolaceRO will implement sanctions to continuously promote the server’s peace and harmony. Players must understand that frequent violations are subject to a permanent ban from accessing the game.
These are violations that have already damaged or will damage the server’s security, stability, and economy; disrupted any of our services, or caused a great upset for the whole community. SolaceRO at this point will take every necessary action against player/s in order to protect the server. Staff will permanently suspend these player/s from the game, and will be prevented from accessing it.
Don’t discuss other Ragnarok Servers in-game, in any of our social media pages/groups, or in Discord.
Use your common sense at all times. If it’s bad, don’t do it. Just because it’s not listed, doesn’t mean it’s allowed. We will take appropriate actions for any offense, even if it’s not stated here.
